Satellite Flight Release

Satellite Flight:The Journey to the Mother Moon was recently released on February 25,2014.  This makes Kid Cudi's 4th studio album that has been released. "Going to the Ceremony" is the 4th song on his album which he released on October 19,2013. Satellite Flight is the bridge between INDICUD and MOTM3. Satellite Flight was supposed to be an EP, but on January 27,2014 he revealed on twitter that it would be a full-length album.  As of now he only released a digital copy but later in the future he will release a physical copy that will contain bonus songs or deleted scences.

Need For Speed Movie

Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi) is part of a new film named Need For Speed. This movie will be released on March 14, 2014. His co-star is Aaron Paul, from Breaking Bad. Yesterday on February 19,2014 Scott and Aaron answered questions from their fans on twitter.

At first the album was set to be an EP and a warm up for his next album Man on the Moon 3. But he made it as a full album.

Indicud

Indicud was Kid Cudis third studio album released. It was released on April 16, 2013. It was the first album  from Cudi's career not to be part of The Man on the Moon series. The albums cover art was designed by Kid Cudi himself. The album's production was entirely handled by Cudi as well.Indicud debuted number 2 on U.S Billboards with 140,000 copies sold and debuted number 32 on the UK Album chart and number 2 on the UK R&B chart. 

Man on the Moon: The Legend of Mr.Rager

Man on the Moon: The Legend of Mr.Rager  is the second studio album by Kid Cudi. It was released on November 9, 2010 under G.O.O.D Music and Universal Motown. The lead singles were, "Mr.Rager" and "Erase Me". The album debuted number 3 on the U.S Billboard 200 chart. It sold 169,000 copies on the first week release. The genre of this album is considered to be neo-psychedelia & alternative hip-hop.

Man on the Moon: The End of Day

Man on the Moon was released on September 14,2009. It follows the release of his first mixtape A Kid Named Cudi. Production for the album took place during 2007 to 2009. This album spawned three singles which were 'Day n' Nite', 'Make Her Say', and 'Pursuit of Happiness'. To promote the album he toured with Asher Roth and Lady Gaga. The album debuted at number four on both the US Billboard 200 and Billboard Top Rap Albums chart. The album sold 104,000 copies in its first week release in the United States.

A Kid Named Cudi was released on July 17,2008. This was Kid Cudi's first album. This established him as a rising star in hip-hop. He was soon recognized by media outlets like XXL, URB, and Complex Magazine. That same Summer, "A Kid Named Cudi" caught the attention of Kanye West, leading him to invite Cudi to his record in Hawaii with him and signed with G.O.O.D Music label later that year.

Kid Cudi's Music Career

Cudi began rapping towards the end of his high school career. He was inspired by alternative hip hop groups such as A Tribe Called Quest and The Pharcyde. He moved to Brooklyn in New York City to pursue his music career. He stayed with his uncle in New York in 2004.  Cudi soon applied to BAPE store where he always dreamed of working. While working there he met his future mentor Kanye West. In 2006 his uncle passed away which made Cudi wrote his hit single Day n Night. 

In July 2008 Kid Cudi released his first mixtape named A Kid Named Cudi. This mixtape caught Kanye West attention which lead to him to sign Cudi to his GOOD MUSIC imprint later that year. Cudi was promoted as an artist to watch for in media such as Rolling Stone, Vibe, The source, XXL, and BBC New's 2009 Sound of Poll. Cudis first television appearance was at the 2008 MTV Music Awards.

Early Life

Scott Mescudi aka Kid Cudi was born in Cleveland Ohio. He grew up in Shaker Heights and Solon. He has 2 older brothers named Domingo and Dean and an older sister named Maisha. His father was a house painter, substitute teacher, and a World War 2 Air Force veteran. His father was a Mexican-Native American. His mother who is also his best friends as of today was a middle school choir teacher. 
When Scott was 11 years old his father died of cancer. The death of his father cause a significant effect on Scott's personality and in his music. Before transferring to Solon High School Scott attended Shaker Heights High School for 2 years. He was expelled from Solon High School for threatening to punch his principal. He later earned his GED and studied film at the University of Toledo. He ended up dropping out a year later because he was determined to join the US Navy. He was denied from the Navy because of his juvenile police record.
